Dr. Krystin Schaack was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She received a B.S. in Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Texas (Hook ‘em!) in 2016 and a doctorate in Veterinary Science in 2021 from Texas A&M University (Gig ‘em!). After graduating, she returned to Houston to be closer to family and all that this busy city has to offer. Her veterinary interests include animal behavior, oncology, and cardiology.
In her spare time, Dr. Schaack enjoys everything the outdoors has to offer like hiking, visiting state parks, and running. She’s always ready to scope out the latest dessert spot with her husband Rex and their Pit Bull rescue, Sammy. Dr. Schaack looks forward to helping pets in the Oak Forest community and forming lifelong relationships with them and their owners!
